In the wood music film “I could be bragging”, percussion is revealed as a way of searching for a young person’s identity. The road to the future he wants to experience. The film is like a kokle itself, which has manifested itself in the twists and turns of history in various forms and sound techniques, thus being able to be both scenically contemporary and reminiscent of its origin and significance through ritual. Tradition, creativity and the symbolic power of kokle are revealed in the process of merging and transformation, revealing the essential – the actuality of heredity.

At the center of the film is a young koklnieks, who measures the distance of time and events towards the desired goal – to be a part of his own! A path that hardens and opens up a new perspective on the instrument and its many facets. This is the story of the creation and percussion of a percussion, in which groups of children and young percussion from all over Latvia join together with the young percussionist. Can they do it and succeed? Let it be! Make pride in yourself, your play fun and playmanship!
