On August 6 at 19.00 at the exhibition of the house of the Skulmju family in Mālpilis, as part of the Garden Festival, a poetry and music performance “I can’t do it, comatose” is planned, in which Ilmārs Šlāpins and “Trio Tresensus” will take part. The jointly created concert program will reflect the harmony of music and poetry, the interaction of the original music and texts of the younger generation of Latvian composers, showing how diverse, beautiful and emotionally deep the works of young composers and writers are.
Choker Līga Griķe, saxophonist Aigars Raumanis and percussionist Uģis Upenieks have chosen a variety of contemporary Latvian chamber music pieces for this concert. In the interpretations of the poet Ilmars Šlāpins, the texts from the collections “Es nemāku, komatus” and “Never” will twist, talk and play with music.
