Habib Rizieq accused the prosecutor’s office and the police of consensus to ensnare him in the case of crowd-led sedition in Petamburan. Rizieq comparing another crowd at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on their return to the Maulid event in Petamburan.

Rizieq accused the Police and the Attorney General’s Office of conspiracy because they equated invitations to the Prophet’s Birthday event with incitement to committing a crime. He considered it a form of heretical logic.
“This is where the Police and the Attorney General’s Office have made an evil consensus in equating the invitation of the Prophet Muhammad SAW’s birthday with incitement to commit a crime. The logic of thinking of the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office that equating the invitation of the Prophet Muhammad SAW with incitement to crime is misleading and misleading logic,” said Rizieq.
“I and the Maulid committee invite the people to come to glorify the Prophet Muhammad SAW and make him a role model, not to incite the people to commit crimes. If the Maulid invitation is slandered by the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office as incitement to mass crime, then I am worried about the call to prayer to the mosque and invitations to worship in churches as well as invitations to worship in temples and shrines will also be slandered as incitement to organized crime, so this will be a criminalization of religion, “he said.
After conveying his accusation, Rizieq invited the Police and the Attorney to repent. He said that incitement to crime in his case constituted slander.
“For God’s sake, I swear that only non-religious or anti-religious people slander the invitation to worship as incitement to crime. Therefore, through this trial, I call on the police and prosecutors, immediately repent to Allah SWT before you are punished by Allah SWT,” he said.
