Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Video footage showed the broken heart of Brazilian player Neymar da Silva, following his country’s exit from the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup, to be played in Qatar.
The 30-year-old Brazilian striker cried, expressing his great sadness after the end of his “samba” career at the 22nd World Cup.

Neymar da Silva had mainly participated in the encounters with Brazil and Croatia, managing to score the only goal for his country, but it wasn’t enough to go through, as Luka Modric’s team-mates prevailed in the penalty shoot-out, 4/2, after the end of the original and overtime, with a 1/1 draw.
The Brazilian national team saw off the world’s top tournament for the second time in a row in the quarter-finals, as they had previously been eliminated in the same round against Belgium at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
