I attacked a taxi driver in Lanzarote to steal the collection
The Civil Guard of San Bartolomé, in Lanzarote, has arrested a man, a resident of Arrecife with numerous police records, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation in an attempt and injuries, when attacking a taxi driver to try steal the proceeds.
The investigations began on the 22nd, when the Civil Guard learned of the attack that occurred that morning in the town of Playa Honda.
The 69-year-old victim told the agents that he had carried out a service picking up EMER in Arrecife, taking him to Playa Honda.
On Bergantín street, when he got out of the taxi, he allegedly opened the passenger door and grabbed him by the neck, injuring him and threatening to wound him with a knife so that he could give him the taxi money, however, the victim managed to free himself and flee driving the place.
The agents of the Investigation Area subsequently managed to collect the necessary evidence to arrest the aggressor, who, thanks to the testimony of several witnesses and the discovery of his national identity document in the taxi where the events occurred, they found him the next day.
The detainee passed at the disposal of the corresponding Court acting as guard of the town of Arrecife.
