I asked for Xi Jinping to resign… The’terrible torture’ he suffered

Chinese law scholar and human rights activist Xu Zi-Yong, 47, who was imprisoned for demanding the resignation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, has been exposed to torture.

They spent more than 10 hours a day tied to an iron chair, drinking water was limited, and only one dumpling was served per meal, which led to a long period of hunger.

Also, cold showers were allowed only two or three times a month, my ears were frostbite, and I had to wear black cloth and heavy helmets upside down when moving out of prison.

Hong Kong Myungbo reported on the 8th that Xu Ziyung’s girlfriend and human rights activist Li Chao-chu had exposed this on social media on the 5th and was arrested the next day by police in Linyi City in southern Shandong Province.

Li Qiaochu said that Xu Ziyung, who is being held in a detention center in Shandong Province, reported torture damage in a video interview with a lawyer.

Li Chao Chu’s parents said the arrested daughter was charged with “overthrowing state power.”

It is known that Xu Zuyung is also facing trial on the same charge.

Xu Ziyung was wanted for attending an anti-government rally in Xiamen City, Fujian Province on December 26, 2019, and was arrested in February of last year.

On February 4, last year, when China’s Corona 19 crisis was at its peak, Xu Ziyung announced a “resignation letter” calling for Xi’s resignation while it was being wanted.

Xu Ziyung, a former doctor of law at Peking University, formed the’New Citizen Movement’ with legal scholars and human rights lawyers in 2003 when a young man named Sun Zhigang was taken to a detention facility and assaulted after being taken to a prison by the police.

Since then, the’New Citizens’ Movement’ has taken the lead in legal support and public interest litigation for the socially underprivileged such as peasants, deportees, and torture victims.
