SOLOKOMPAS.com – Mayor Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka revealed that the desire to participate in student demonstrations throughout Solo was not just a gimmick.

This is because the eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) does not agree with the discourse on three presidential terms or the postponement of the 2024 General Election.

Previously, the Student Executive Body of Solo Raya only considered Gibran’s statement as a gimmick.

“Halah, I answer that anything will be blamed. It’s okay if you don’t want to. I’m not going, that’s okay. if you don’t like it me,” said Gibran, at the Solo City Hall, on Wednesday (13/4/2022).

“If you don’t want me, you’re not happy with me, that’s fine. Gimik, what kind of gimmick,” Gibran continued.

It is known that Solo Raya BEM has not planned to bring up the issue of the three presidential terms in the planned demonstration on Thursday (14/4/2022).

“(The demo is not three periods), you don’t want to participate, I don’t participate. I am anti-three periods,” said Gibran.

BEMs throughout Solo will hold demonstrations about urging the government to stabilize oil prices and other basic needs.

“I think it’s just a gimmick from Mas Gibran, we didn’t raise the issue of the president for three terms because the President had canceled it, and the election was given on February 14, 2024, didn’t bring up the issue,” said the Coordinator of the Student Executive Board (BEM) in Solo Raya. , Widi Adi Nugoro.
