What do you think of the artist Hussein Fahmy leading the current session of the Cairo Film Festival?
I am happy to have him in the Cairo Film Festival, and this event has a special flavor in his presidency, and it is the first time that a person has left his position and returned to it again, which shows his competence and ability to bear the burdens. of this position. The Cairo Film Festival is of great importance and its presence in the international festival map is a necessity for all of us writers, actors and directors, and we must preserve this presence. The Cairo Festival is old and important and has its own importance on the global map. I am happy even after some old Egyptian cinema films have been restored, and I also have to mention the Egyptian films that have been restored at the Red Sea Festival, this story revives Egyptian cinema.
What is the message you send to Lebula and Kamela Abu Zekry after honoring them?

You had a brilliant participation in the Climate Summit, what can you tell us about it?
I am very proud of my illustrious and very special participation in climate summit, And this through vocal participation in the documentary film “Climate Change Changes Us All” directed by Marwan Hamed on climate change. This summit is the most important international event Egypt is currently hosting in Sharm El-Sheikh. Egypt is big and will always remain strong. As for the film that was shown at the summit, I recorded it in just two days, and through it I confirm that we forget that we are fighting nature, and we have to realize how we drink and eat, otherwise we will lose everything.

You have recently finished filming the series “Rose and Lily” with Nelly Karim and a large number of stars. What can you tell us about it?
In fact, I’m happy to participate in it, as it takes place in a context of excitement, suspense and adventure, but in a comedic form. It revolves around two detectives who are hired to uncover a bank fraud. It is considered the first Arab drama series with international names in writing and directing, as it was written by British screenwriter Chris Cole and directed by British director Adrian Shergold, and it is my first time collaborating with them. It is also the first time that I collaborate artistically with Nelly Karim. The series consists of only 12 episodes and will only be shown on one of the popular digital platforms.
Tell us the details of the work and is it comical or tragic?
The series takes place in an atmosphere of excitement wrapped in touches of black comedy in a context of drama mixed with suspense, action and adventure. and he It centers on the characters Rose and Laila They are two independent detectives who are hired to uncover a major bank fraud, but lack expertise at work and face many problems in front of mysterious figures, who put their lives in danger.

I was honored and delighted to work and collaborate with Nelly Karim through ‘Rose and Lily’ as she is an important actress in the art scene and one of the most important artists of her generation with a strong stamp. As for the beauty of justice, she is a permanent companion of my work and my artistic life, she makes me work in a special atmosphere, as well as providing different and varied texts that present me in a new and different way. For example, this year we have chosen to present a comedy to escape the stress and anxiety that has accompanied me in the dramas I have presented in recent years.

I finished shooting the film “Eid Night”, which takes place in one night and is directed by Sameh Abdelaziz. A great group of artists will join me in this work, all of them are heroes especially Samiha Ayoub, Sayed Ragab and Naglaa Badr. The work revolves around each woman’s rebellion against whatever injustice she is exposed to, and the details of my role in the work will come as a surprise to all. This work discusses, through events taking place in one day, all issues of women in society, including thorny issues such as the issue of circumcision, it also monitors the suffering and oppression of some married women and the mistreatment of some men towards of their wives. The events of the film unfold within a dramatic and social framework in one day, which is the break of Eid.
