“I am not guilty”. The lawyer asked for a verdict of not guilty – Vesti.kg

The grandmother of two-year-old Yegor, who was mercilessly beaten, asks for help from the media

On March 1, a meeting was held on the case of the brutal beating of a boy in the Sokuluk region. The arguments of the parties were heard. The victim’s lawyers asked to leave the verdict unchanged, but the defender of the guilty asked for an acquittal.

The guilty Alexander Samarkin himself asked to be released. He expressed a desire to serve his sentence with the use of probation supervision.

– Samarkin does not admit his guilt. It was a big shock for us, because he should be justly punished for what he did. The perpetrator must not escape responsibility. Why does this monster need to be released? I repeat that a small defenseless child is not to blame for anything. I ask the media to take part in the process,” Egor’s grandmother wrote on her Facebook page.

The final verdict will be made on March 6.

Recall that on February 3, 2022, a two-year-old child was admitted to the Sokuluk Territorial Hospital with beatings. He ended up in intensive care with a closed craniocerebral injury, contusion of the brain and limbs, bruises and abrasions on his face.

On suspicion of brutally beating the boy, the police detained 34-year-old Alexander Samarkin. The child’s parents said that they worked for this man, looking after the cattle. According to them, the reason for bullying by the employer was debt. Also, the boy’s parents added that they were also attacked by the latter.

The child’s mother later changed her testimony. She pleaded not guilty to the suspect and said she left the children with their father over the weekend.

The special commission, after listening to the boy’s parents and grandmother, decided to transfer Yegor and his four-year-old sister under temporary custody (during the investigation) of their paternal grandmother.
