I am not fast compared to Mr. Amali

Jakarta

Yunus Nusi back out of position Vice Chairman of PSSI selected. He felt unworthy to be compared with Menpora Zainudin Amali.

Yunus Nusi was actually elected twice in the two rolling voting at the PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB).

The first vote, he won together with Amali with 63 votes and 66 votes for Amali respectively. temporary Queen Tisha got 44 votes of support from voters.

However, some vote owners considered the voting results invalid because there were a number of supporters who wrote down the names of other Waketum candidates but were not included in the calculations, one of which was the vote for Ratu Tisha.

This situation forced the re-election to be repeated. As a result, Ratu Tisha received 54 votes, Yunus Nusi 53 votes, and Amali 44 votes.

The results of the vote apparently made Yunus Nusi take another decision, namely to withdraw from the elected Deputy General Chair of PSSI.

“First, Yunus Nusi, I congratulate and succeed on the election of Mr. Erick Thohir as PSSI Chairperson and Mr. Amali and Mrs. Ratu Tisha as Waketum, following 12 Exco through KLB. We are sure that there will be more Indonesian football,” Yunus said in a press conference.

“That I resigned from the waketum elected at today’s congress, of course I have to say that I, Yunus Nusi, do not feel better than Pak Zainudin Amali.”

“He has given his best for Indonesian football and sports. Three years with him, I know exactly what Mr. Amali’s sincerity is for Indonesian football. I don’t deserve to be here, what Mr. Amali and Mr. Erick Thohir deserve for football going forward. And I believe in Mr. Erick Thohir’s hands are increasingly winning football,” said Yunus.

“After I was elected, I immediately communicated with the Exco Commissioner, I immediately said that I did not deserve to be in the Waketum chair compared to Pak Zainudin Amali who really deserved to be here. I am very sincere.”

Even though he resigned, Yunus can still be at PSSI because there is a chance to become Secretary General again. About that, he did not want to speculate.

“I leave everything to the decision of the elected Ketum,” said Yunus.
