Maeva Ghennam launched an appeal to climb Mont Blanc with a guide in 2025
After having launched an appeal on social networks in order to find a guide who could train and accompany her, she expressed regret on September 20, 2024 at having received no feedback. “Since I have been on social networks, this is the first time that I have made an announcement and that I have not had a response. I am not of interest to mountain people” she declared in a story. Then, on September 24, 2024, she announced that she had finally been contacted by Mathis Dumas, the Inoxtag guide. But a new twist since the latter did not seem to know about it. In an Instagram story, he wrote on September 25, 2025: “I see information passing around about a possible ascent of Mont Blanc with Maeva Ghennam. There is no such project. Mont Blanc is over for this year.”
Maeva Ghennam responds to Mathis Dumas’ story and makes a big announcement
Neither one nor two, Maeva Ghennam grabbed her phone to make new stories, the same day of this denial. “Everest, physically I know I wouldn’t be able to do it but Mont Blanc with training it’s doable. So it made me want to do it. So I talked about it on my networks. And when I talked about it, I had Mathis Dumas who followed me on Instagram and who DMed me asking if I wanted to climb Mont Blanc. So I was very excited. unfollowed me even though I didn’t do anything wrong to him” she began by explaining before adding: “As far as I know, I didn’t ask him anything, it was he who came to contact me (…) I think he was turned against me, he was influenced and I think that’s why he said that publicly.” The young woman is not worried since she said that lots of preparers have contacted her since. “I am in talks with lots of productions for this project, including the best production in the world” she then revealed enthusiastically.
