This is what the honorary chairman of DPS Ahmed Dogan wrote to Pavel Zhuravlev, head of the Representation of Rossotrudnichestvo in Bulgaria and director of the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia, reported epicenter.bg. Ahmed Dogan has been nominated for an award in connection with the cooperation between the Russian Federation and Bulgaria in the field of spiritual rapprochement of the two peoples. On December 6 of this year Dogan was invited on behalf of the Moscow City Hall and the Charitable Fund for Social Initiatives “Narodnoe Edinstvo” – Russia to a celebration at the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia to receive the award. In response to the respect shown, Dogan says in the letter that several times in his life he has not accepted or refused national and international awards. But he accepts his current nomination with special honor, because in his spiritual life he was “schooled in the thought space of Western European philosophy”, but was “nursed with the existential temporality of Russian classical literature. And I am convinced, writes Dogan, that ” who does not understand the Broad Russian Soul, does not understand the meaning of the Great Russian Land.” (Dogan’s spelling, note ed.)
In front of Epicenter, Dogan explained that Dostoevsky’s work is a key to unraveling the human soul, the depth and drama of which no one has grasped as well as Dostoevsky himself. He emphasized that the new geopolitical realities are confronting us with the “Trump” phenomenon, and the signs of the failure of the Democrats and the rise of the Republicans in the USA must be read very carefully. We are witnessing the collapse of the liberal status quo, the failure of neoliberalism, liberal messages no longer work, emphasized the honorary chairman of the DPS. According to him, the rising new protest wave in the world is not only a consequence of populism – the processes in the development of humanity are much deeper, and the political elite proved to be unprepared for giving reasonable solutions.
