Meghalaya BJP president Ernest Maury said that BJP has not banned eating beef. The BJP president asked that he eats beef and what is wrong with it. He was speaking in an interview to IANS. The BJP state president’s remarks came ahead of the Meghalaya elections.
Ernest Mowry said that since the BJP came to power in the country, there has been no attack on any Christian place of worship and BJP has not imposed restrictions on eating beef.

He is a BJP member and also eats beef. There is no problem with that. This time the people of Meghalaya will stand with the BJP. The state president also expressed confidence that it will be seen on March 2.
In Meghalaya the majority follow Christianity. Mavri was responding to the question whether people will accept BJP’s beef ban and CAA stance.
The Meghalaya assembly election is scheduled for February 27, 2023. The result will be declared on March 2.
