Without specifying my job, I explain to the doctor that I have no medical problem allowing me to claim a vaccination, nor age, but that I nevertheless wish to benefit from an unused vaccine at the end of the day.

The next day, after a text message confirming my appointment on Doctolib, I returned to the vaccination center. A new doctor welcomes me. “Are you the one who wants a vaccine? We put a dose aside “, the doctor announces to me warmly.
Before receiving the injection, I answer a questionnaire. I take this opportunity to find out if I am an isolated case. “It’s rare yes. Normally with the vials, we do 10 doses. But with the new Chinese syringes, we do 12 doses. With them, we have no residual air, there is no more waste. . We try to be smart and not to waste “, says the health professional.

During the interview, the doctor tells his colleague that doses have ended up in the trash in the department. “I learned that they threw away doses of Pfizer. They were just salaried nurses without networks. It’s a shame, we have patients to be vaccinated.”
