A video has been released of a Hungarian low-cost airliner landing narrowly over the heads of tourists.

On the 11th (local time), the Daily Mail introduced a video of the Hungarian low-cost airliner Wiz Air landing on the Greek island of Skiathos last week.

In the video, the plane crosses the Mediterranean Sea and enters Skiathos Airport. The plane slowly lowered its altitude to land, and in the process landed on the runway, dizzyingly skimming just a few meters above the heads of tourists on the beach.

At this time, the wind caused by the passenger plane passing by caused a sandstorm, and a girl fell backwards.

According to the media, the plane landed the lowest among the planes that landed at the airport.

Skiathos Airport was built on land between Skiathos and Lazaretta due to the uneven topography of the Greek island.

Therefore, the airport is less than 1m from the sea and the runway length is said to be only about 1.6km. Normally, the runway length is about 2.1~3.7km, and compared to London Heathrow Airport’s runway length of about 3.9km, the runway at Skiathos Airport is very short.

Therefore, pilots must land much lower than other runways to ensure that the plane has a sufficient distance to stop after landing. Otherwise, it is said that there is a risk that the plane may stray from the end of the runway and fall into the sea.
