“I advise not to bring a hamburger to the club, it is so cold”

Due to austerity measures, Telstar no longer arranges lunch, but players have to take care of their own food. Trainer Andries Jonker is happy with the reaction of his players.

Telstar can no longer afford to arrange daily food for a selection of players and staff, so players are called upon. “They have to think about what they want to eat. I advise not to bring a hamburger, because before it’s your turn it’s cold,” says Jonker in conversation with FOX Sports.

“It went really well,” says Jonker. “All kinds of bread boxes and crates came on the table. It is nice to see that those guys filled it in very seriously, including the staff. We made the best of it and ate twenty to 25 minutes. What I had myself? A tomato sandwich / mozzarella. Self-lubricated, delicious. “
