Singer Hyunseung Jang (Able) honestly stated that he is happier now as a solo artist than during his time as a member of BEAST.
On the 5th, a video titled ‘Swings ABLE (Jang Hyeon-seung), Kim Sang-min, he dares to be called a legend’ was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Gao Gai’.
Previously, Hyunseung Jang joined Minefield, a hip-hop musician label led by Swings. Regarding this, Ketsu Yoji asked Hyunseung Jang, “He is continuing his career as a solo artist now, when will his happiness index be higher (compared to his BEAST days)?”
In response, Jang Hyun-seung replied, “It’s a bit difficult to answer the question,” but “to be honest, the happiness index is higher now.”
Then, he explained, “I think it’s simply good to be able to do music in a more individualistic way. It’s not like BEAST or Minefield.”
When Jang Hyun-seung’s answer got longer, Gao Gai summarized, “The happiness index is high now, and let’s make more money then.” Jang Hyeon-seung also affirmed Gao Gai’s theorem, saying, “Of course.”
Upon hearing this, Kitsuyoji trembled, saying, “Happiness is not in the order of money.”
Regarding the reason for joining Swings’ label, Jang Hyun-seung said, “(I) contacted Swings via text message first.” I thought so,” he said.
“I have respected (Swings) as a person,” he said.
Meanwhile, Hyunseung Jang debuted as a member of the group Beast in 2009 and was loved with hit songs such as ‘Fiction’ and ‘Shock’. Later, in 2016, he left the team and has been focusing on his individual career as a solo artist. Last year, he signed with Swings’ company Minefield under the active name Able.
