Hyundai has launched a new compact crossover for winter tests, which is still known as the AX1. Spy photos of the car posted by the edition Engine1… Judging by them, during the tests, the novelty flew off the track and got stuck in the snow.

The car could not get out on its own. At first, the testers themselves tried to push the crossover, but they failed. As a result, a small truck was called to the scene of the incident and the crossover was pulled out using a cable.

In the spy photos, the vehicle is hidden under camouflage. Edition Motor1, claims that the pictures show the car with a serial body. The AX1 is expected to be the smallest crossover of the Korean brand.

According to unofficial data, the novelty will receive a 1.0-liter gasoline engine. The unit will operate with a five-speed manual transmission and a “robot”. As reported Carscoops, the engine power will be 70 horsepower. Also, the engine range can include a 1.2-liter gasoline unit with a return of 85 horsepower.

It is not yet known exactly whether the AX-1 will become a global model, or the car will only be sold in Asian markets. Even the approximate timing of the debut of the novelty is also kept secret.
