The GV70 is a more stylish version of the flagship GV80 SUV. After a modest premiere in October, the Koreans finally reveal complete information, including technology.

According to the carmaker, the Genesis GV70 should become one of the basic building blocks of the offer, which is a luxury offshoot of South Korean Hyundai. The car has typical features, a large front grille with a diamond pattern, dual headlights and elegant shapes typical of larger urban crossovers.

At first glance, large alloy wheels and two tailpipes on the rear also catch the eye. In the standard equipment, the ends have more angular shapes, in the sporty Sport Package they are large and round. This equipment also includes black body accents or a diffuser.

As for the interior, it creates a very luxurious impression. Genesis relied on minimalist features, leather, sports seats and a large horizontally placed infotainment display. The car will also be equipped with, for example, a fingerprint reader and a number of other assistants.

In the basic version, the novelty will be sold with a 2.2-liter diesel four-cylinder with an output of 210 hp. An alternative is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 304 horsepower and 421 Nm of torque. For more demanding customers, however, there is also a three-and-a-half-liter six-cylinder with double supercharging. Offers 380 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque.

An eight-speed automatic transmission will be standard, and a variant with a rear-wheel drive and an ATV is ready. Genesis intends to introduce the GV70 in 2022, its price is still unknown.

According to the Automotive News server, the entry of the premium Genesis brand in Europe is on the decline, the division is to be led on the old continent by Dominique Boesch, who has previously led sales at Audi. However, the brand has not yet officially commented on this.
