The South Korean automaker Hyundai has prepared a version with all-wheel drive for the North American market, which will be available for the model with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine.
The modernized model of Hyundai Sonata, which premiered in the domestic market already in the spring, will also be available in the North American market in autumn, and one of the versions will get HTRAC all-wheel drive with a separate mode for driving in snowy conditions for an additional fee.
All-wheel drive for an additional fee is provided for the model with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, while this option is not included in the offer for owners of the hybrid and sporty N Line versions.
Otherwise, it’s the same well-equipped Korean sedan you can get at a very affordable price. Before the modernization in the USA, it started from the mark of 25,450 dollars (hybrid is 3,000 dollars more expensive, N Line – from 35,000 dollars).
The car’s electronic assistants include systems such as Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Highway Assist for highway driving, Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Control and Departure Assist. The interior is also modernly decorated and pleases with two 12.3-inch screens (gauges, multimedia device), Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, projection display and Bose audio 12-speaker “music”.
