Previously, the Hyundai brand was the leader in the number of thefts, but now KIA has moved it in the status of a “favorite”. The share of this brand in January-March 2013 accounted for more than a third of the total number of car thefts.
Hyundai cars in the first quarter were stolen three times less often than KIA. If we talk specifically about this car brand, the hijackers were most interested in the Santa Fe brand.
The top 3 “favorites” of attackers are closed by the Japanese brand Mitsubishi. But in general, according to VSK, the number of car thefts in the stated period of time turned out to be 20% less than a year earlier.
