Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) announced an increase in supply of IONIQ 5 to up to 1,000 units per month. This policy was made in order to reduce waiting times or pivots, so that consumers who place orders can get this electric vehicle model more quickly.
“In recent times, the IONIQ 5 has continued to be a Hyundai vehicle model that has received high interest from consumers. Therefore, to better answer market demand, HMID will supply more IONIQ 5 units which have become one of the most popular electric vehicles in the world. Indonesia at this time. The increased supply of IONIQ 5 is also part of the company’s readiness to support government policies regarding the provision of Value Added Tax (VAT) incentives for electric vehicles. HMID claims to be committed to supporting the government’s tax incentive scheme, in which consumers will receive VAT relief from the previous 11% to 1%. In this case, consumers can get an incentive of 60-70 million rupiah for every purchase of IONIQ 5 depending on the variant chosen.
HMID said that it has provided direction to all Hyundai dealer representatives so they can implement incentives properly and comprehensively in various regions in Indonesia. This is done to ensure that consumers can enjoy the benefits of the full implementation of tax incentives.

Hyundai’s Role in Encouraging the Development of the EV Ecosystem in Indonesia
From time to time, Hyundai is consistent in making a real contribution in advancing the EV ecosystem in the country in order to bring renewable mobility from electric vehicles to broad consumers. One way to do this is by expanding the charging station network, which has now reached more than 200 points throughout Indonesia. HMID has also launched the fastest Ultra Fast Charging Station facility in Indonesia, located at Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta. Going forward, Hyundai also plans to expand its Charging Station network throughout Indonesia.
Hyundai’s active role in encouraging the growth of the EV ecosystem in Indonesia is also carried out by focusing its production activities in the country, in line with the government’s efforts to increase the capabilities of the domestic automotive component industry. Currently, Hyundai produces the IONIQ 5 electric vehicle locally at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia factory in Cikarang, West Java. Hyundai will also present battery cell and battery pack factories in Indonesia, where the two factories are planned to start operating in 2024.
To provide consumers with a worry-free electric vehicle ownership experience, Hyundai has also prepared after sales services that can be relied upon in various driving situations. With Mobile Charging services available in various cities in Indonesia, users can charge their vehicles during emergencies without worrying. HMID also provides a basic warranty of 3 years or up to 100,000 km and a battery warranty of 8 years or up to 160,000 km. Hyundai’s workshop network is also supported by certified technicians and special devices for handling electric vehicles to ensure customer safety and comfort.
