Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 19th that it had a special exhibition of the concept car “Genesis X,” which symbolizes the group’s automotive vision, at the World Economic Forum (WEF) held in Davos, Switzerland.
On the 18th (local time), Hyundai Motor Group installed a transparent glass container with the 2030 Busan World Expo (Expo) logo at the Ameron Hotel in Davos, Switzerland, where the “Korea Night” event was held, and displayed the Genesis X. The purpose is to publicize Busan, a candidate for the expo, and convey the vision of Korean automobiles.
About 200 people attended the event, including heads of state, major government representatives, and CEOs of global companies.
The Genesis X is a Genesis concept car released following the New York Concept, GV80 Concept, Essentia Concept, and Mint Concept, and contains Hyundai Motor Group’s perspective on sustainable car design.
Hyundai Motor Group explained that it is characterized by maximizing the ‘two lines’ of the core design symbolizing Genesis, which shows the design direction of electric vehicle models. The name Genesis X was also completed by attaching an X to the symbol of a hidden hero.
Hyundai Motor Group transported the Genesis X, which was located at the Hyundai Motor and Kia R&D Center in Namyang, Gyeonggi-do, in a special aluminum carrier to the local area by cargo plane. A glass container was used for the exhibition in Switzerland, where the cold and heavy snow are frequent.
Hyundai Motor Group is promoting Busan, a candidate site for the Busan Expo, by operating 58 vehicles wrapped with promotional phrases for the Busan Expo in Davos.
