The Korean automaker chose an unconventional design philosophy years ago. The team of creators decided that not all cars of the same brand have to look the same. Well, you would say, for example, that new thing Santa Fe he is from the same stable Coneor even as popular here i30?
But now it seems that, at least for the Hyundai SUVs, they will change the design a little. And it was obviously very popular in boxes, ie the so-called design “boxes”. This means that the silhouette of the car looks like it was drawn with a ruler. Or the creators just like Legos…
Recently the Ioniq 9 silhouette boasted a square body. In the Hyundai/Kia concern hierarchy, it will be the siblings that have already been introduced EV9. The ceremonial premiere of the model is scheduled for November this year, the first pieces could appear here in the first half of next year.
However, in addition to the main “nine”, Hyundai also showed the Initium concept. It is a technical exercise that shows the future of the brand in the field of hydrogen, which Koreans have a lot of faith in in the field of personal transport. And Hyundai will put it into production. The production car is expected to be presented in the first half of 2025, promising an output of 150 kW and a range of up to 650 kilometers.
At the same time, Initium is supposed to show the design direction of the car company in the future. And even here we can’t help but notice the boxier shape of the body. Would sharp edges become fashionable again years later? The new Hyundai Santa Fe in the same form is already driving on Czech roads and it is certainly one of the cars that attracts attention.
And what car company wouldn’t be happy with something like that?
