Hyundai Introduces Ioniq 5 N Line with Sportier Appearance, Larger Battery Capacity: What You Need to Know

Jakarta

Hyundai introduces the Ioniq 5 N Line. This is an Ioniq 5 electric car with a sportier appearance.

Indeed, Hyundai previously launched the high-performance Ioniq 5 N. The difference is, the Ioniq 5 N Line only has a sporty appearance without any changes to the engine specifications.

“The N Line variant is expected to meet the increasing demand for sporty styling, appealing to customers looking for a dynamic driving experience,” wrote Hyundai in its press release.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Line features a more aggressive and sporty front and rear design with unique bumpers and stylish side skirts. This car has a set of special 20-inch aluminum wheels, to emphasize the model’s sporty appearance.

The cabin also has an exclusive N Line design with a special N Line steering wheel and dashboard, exclusive N Line metal pedals, a black headliner, special sports seats with the N logo, red contrast stitching, and two seat cover options. This creates an immersive and dynamic impression.

Hyundai Motor Company also introduced a facelifted version of the Ioniq 5. The electric car is claimed to offer product improvements, innovative features and design improvements. This car has a bigger battery.

The latest Hyundai Ioniq 5 carries a battery with a capacity of 84 kWh, larger than the previous version which only had 77.4 kWh. This increase in battery capacity makes the range longer.

To further enhance the Ioniq 5’s dynamic appearance and improve its aerodynamic performance, the rear spoiler has been extended by 50 mm. Now, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has new, aerodynamic wheels.

Turning to the interior, the cabin of the Ioniq 5 facelift is said to offer functionality and comfort. On the center console, the top of the Universal Island now features physical buttons that can operate various functions, such as heated and ventilated first row seats, heated steering wheel and park assist function. Additionally, the phone’s wireless charging pad has been moved from the bottom to the top, improving usability significantly.

The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 5 N Line are available to Korean customers starting March 2024. Hyundai Motor plans to introduce them gradually to the global market throughout 2024.
