Hyundai in Nošovice increased production by 36,000 cars last year

Last year, most Tucson cars rolled off the production lines, accounting for 70 percent of total annual production. Another almost 20 percent was made by the i30 model line, eight percent belonged to the Kona Electric electric car, and two percent of production was provided by the innovated sharp Hyundai i30 N car.

“Over 30 percent of cars produced last year have a hybrid, plug-in hybrid or fully electric drive,” said Petr Michník, a spokesman for the carmaker.

Last year, Germany, Spain, France and the United Kingdom were among the largest buyers of cars from Nošovice. However, cars manufactured by Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) also have customers in countries in the Middle East, Norway, Australia, Mexico, Ecuador, New Caledonia and the island of Martinique.

The company expects to produce even more cars than last year. Due to this, it is currently looking for 120 employees, offering them a recruitment allowance of 20,000 crowns.

New projects should not appear in Nošovice until 2023.

“For us and the entire Hyundai Group, the great news is that our electrified models are in demand on the market. We will continue to meet the requirements of a demanding European market, while ensuring that we meet the needs of non-European countries in the highest quality, “assured HMMC President Cheolseung Baek, adding that in line with carbon neutrality plans, the Nošovice plant will become the first in the group. which will use only renewable energy from this year.

“We are preparing large investments in photovoltaics and other energy-saving technologies,” he pointed out.
