The Hyundai Exter officially launched in India with the lowest price starting at Rs 599,900 or the equivalent of Rp. 110 million. With such a cheap price, what specifications and features does the lowest variant of the Hyundai Exter offer?
Quoted from the Hyundai Motor India page, the cheapest variant of the Hyundai Exter, EX, is equipped with a choice of a 1,200 cc petrol engine that can produce 83 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 113.8 Nm at 4,000 rpm. For this EX variant, it is only equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission (MT) option.

Interestingly, with such a cheap price, this lowest variant of the Hyundai Exter is equipped with 6 airbags (driver, passenger, side, curtain) as standard. Apart from that, there is also an Anti-lock Braking System feature with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, as well as parking sensors.
Other features are central locking, speed sensing auto door lock, impact sensing auto door unlock, and inside handle over ride only for the driver. Apart from that, there is still a seatbelt reminder feature on all seats, three-point seat belts, and an Emergency Stop Signal.

For the exterior itself, it is not equipped with projector or LED headlamps, but Hyundai has equipped the cheapest Exter variant with LED tail lamps, as well as silver skid plates on the front and rear, including black pillars.
But on the other hand, consumers who are interested in buying the Hyundai Exter EX will also have to compromise with the various shortcomings of this car, such as the new power windows on the front passenger, or the steering wheel is not equipped with a tilt adjustment.
