Hyundai extended warranty for more than a million cars due to coronavirus

Hyundai Motor has launched a program called Hyundai CARE to extend the warranty on cars. Over 1.21 million cars in 175 countries fall under its action.

The program is aimed at supporting Hyundai car owners who have encountered difficulties in obtaining maintenance due to limited access to service centers amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under this program in Russia, guarantees for Hyundai vehicles that expire between March 30 and April 30 of the current year will be extended until the end of May 2020.

“Now each of us must show social responsibility and stay at home. Hyundai customers can be calm – they will have the opportunity to get warranty service before the end of spring, even if the initial warranty for their car is already drawing to a close. In addition, we have prepared a number of new online services designed to brighten up the temporary lack of “live” communication between the client and the brand, ”quotes the Russian press service of the brand Alexei Kalitsev, managing director of Hyundai Motor CIS.

In a statement, Hyundai Motor CIS promised that it would contact all Russian customers whose cars had an extended warranty.

Previously, Kia launched the warranty extension program. It applies to all Kia car owners in Russia who have a car warranty that expires between April 1 and June 30, 2020. It was extended until August 31, 2020.
