The Hyundai Creta officially took the floor at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Autoshow (GIIAS) 2021. PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia has opened the order tap, but consumers must be patient because the delivery of the Hyundai Creta will only take place in January 2022.
The Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, Makmur, said that the distribution of the new Hyundai Creta will begin in January 2022. The first automatic car assembled at the Hyundai factory in Indonesia does not receive a relaxation of sales of luxury goods (PPnBM) which ends in December 2021.
“The price we provide includes PPnBM. Why? Because we give it in 2022. We don’t know if there will be incentives from the government in 2022. We will follow the government’s program,” said Makmur when met at GIIAS 2021, ICE, BSD City , Tangerang.
“We also intentionally supply in January so that consumers get a 2022 VIN,” he continued.

In the Indonesian market, the Hyundai Creta is sold in four variants, namely Active, Trend, Style, and Prime. The lower the trim, the more features are trimmed. For example, the Active variant is not equipped with the Smartsense safety feature.
The challenger to the Honda HR-V and KIA Seltos is a 1.5L Smartstream petrol engine with a 6-speed manual transmission system or Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). On paper, the Hyundai Creta can spit out a maximum power of up to 115 ps/6,300 rpm with a maximum torque of up to 143.8 Nm/4,500 rpm. Creta also has four types of driving modes or Drive Modes to help determine the most suitable driving style, namely: Eco, Comfort, Smart, and Sport.
