Hygienists have relaxed the measures applicable to the Moravian-Silesian Region

“The region is now divided into three zones. One is Bruntálsko with Krnovsko and Rýmařovsko. From the point of view of the region, we do not regulate anything there. Only nationwide measures apply there,” said Pavla Svrčinová, director of the Ostrava Regional Hygiene Station.

Partial measures

In other regions – Ostrava, Opava, Novojičín and Karviná, the situation is the same. However, partial measures are ordered there. For example, store operators must ensure that shopping carts and trolleys are disinfected regularly, and hospital management must ensure that all admitted patients are tested.

Sanitary facilities must not accept clients who do not prove a negative test, which must not be older than four days.

These measures continue to apply in the Frýdek-Místek region. In addition, people there still have to wear veils in all buildings outside their home. They are also mandatory in public transport and cars, unless a family or one person is driving. Restrictions announced for swimming pools also apply. There, the capacity must be adapted so that each visitor has ten square meters.

Outbreaks in Frýdek-Místek

According to hygienists, the center of gravity of the disease in the Moravian-Silesian Region is in the Frýdek-Místek district. It is also the only one in the region that the Ministry of Health identifies as an area with an increased risk on its map of the disease in the Czech Republic. Another such region is only Prague.

There are several outbreaks in the Frýdek-Místek region where the disease occurred. It is a singing and dancing ensemble Gorol, Haberdashery Jablunkov, home for seniors St. Alžběty, Jablunkov Sanatorium, Guty Christian Camp or Třinec home for the elderly. Hygienists have taken a number of anti-epidemic measures in this regard.
