By inaugurating healthy environments in the educational establishments of Tamaulipas and maintaining a focus on raising awareness about the importance of hygiene in food production and its impact on public health, Rembrandt Reyes, who attended on behalf of the head of State Health, Vicente Joel Hernández Navarro stressed that the agency carries out a series of training focused on “Hygiene practices for the processing of food, beverages or dietary supplements.”

The day in which more than 80 health promoters from Health Jurisdiction number 1 of Ciudad Victoria participate, will be replicated in the rest of the Health Jurisdictions of the entity.

The Health official said that these activities, in addition to providing health promoters with health standards for identifying contamination risks during the food production and handling process, raise awareness and sensitize the school community about the importance of hygiene in food.

In this context, he highlighted that through the Health Promotion Directorate it has been possible to incorporate 86 schools at different educational levels, preschool, primary, secondary and high school, distributed throughout the 12 Health Jurisdictions of the state, to the Health Promoting Schools Certification program, where more than 22 thousand people have benefited, including students between 4 and 17 years old, managers, administrative and support staff.

Among those attending were the head of the Department of Community Action, Mario Alberto Walle Reyes, representing the head of the IMSS Bienestar Tamaulipas; the director of Healthy Lifestyle Medicine, Lujhon Guillermo Florez Gutiérrez; the director of Health Operations of COEPRIS, Luis Roberto García Pedraza; the head of Sanitary Jurisdiction No. I of Victoria, Zelenney Guadalupe Rodríguez Mendoza; the head of the Department of Health Supervision and Promotion, Olivia Elizabeth Ramos González; as well as the state leader of the Microbiological Food Quality Program, Rosa Isela Flores Flores and the head of the Department of Strategies and Development of Healthy Environments, Elvira Marleny Martínez Gallegos.
