MOVESthe K-pop company behind the world’s superstars BTSachieved the biggest sales of all time last year, helped by the expansion of the global fandom for its artists and the successful debuts of rookie groups.

The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted sales of 1.77 trillion won ($1.37 billion) last year, up 41.6% from the previous year. Its operating profit rose 24.9% to 237.7 billion won.
“The global fandom of company-run artists such as BTS, Seventeen, TXT and Enhypen has expanded, while new artists such as Le Sserafim, NewJeans and &Team have grown rapidly.”the company said in a statement.
They also attributed the increase in sales to product diversification such as artist merchandise and games.
But the company’s operating profit for the fourth quarter of the year fell by 30% to 51.7 billion won. Sales and net loss for the period were 535.3 billion won and 188.7 billion won, respectively.
