Hyatt Hotels Plans Strategic Growth through 2023: Expanding Hyatt Place and Hyatt House Brands into New Markets

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the continued strategic growth of the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands through 2023. This growth includes expanding the brand’s U.S. footprint into new markets where there is no Hyatt hotels and thoughtful expansion of airport sites in key markets. This news follows Hyatt’s announcement of significant progress in the development of the Hyatt Studios brand, the newest select service brand in the Hyatt portfolio, including franchise agreements signed for the first properties in Mobile, Ala.

Franchise agreements for the first properties in Mobile, Alabama and Marysville, California were signed, highlighting Hyatt’s strategy of adding hotels in untapped markets where the brand presence is not yet established; groundbreaking for the Mobile, Alabama, facility is planned for the fourth quarter of 2023. Hyatt’s pipeline of select service brands is the fastest growing segment of Hyatt’s portfolio in the United States , as Hyatt continues to lead the industry globally with six years of the industry’s highest net room growth.

In 2023, as part of the expansion of the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands in the United States, Hyatt will welcome 14 new owners to the Hyatt family and expand existing Hyatt portfolios by five owners. This highlights Hyatt’s focus on creating value and ensuring strong ROI across all Hyatt hotels. By the end of 2023, Hyatt plans to establish a hotel presence in U.S. markets where there is currently no Hyatt hotel within a 5-mile radius: Hyatt Place Albany.
