The President of the Cairo International Film Festival explained the circumstances when the 45th session of the festival was canceled last year, due to what is happening in Gaza He explained that it was not possible to cancel it for the second time year in a row, and reiterated the need to adhere to the official “black” uniform for men attending the opening and closing ceremonies, including journalists and designers.
At the press conference, the official poster for the 45th session of the festival was published, and the personalities who will be honored this year are: Egyptian director Yousry Nasrallah with the “Golden Pyramid Value Award for Lifetime Achievement,” the person -Egyptian artist Ahmed Ezz with the “Faten Hamama Award for Excellence,” and Bosnian director Danis Tanovic, Chairman of the International Competition jury.
The Palestinian film “Fleeting Dreams” by Rashid Masharawi is the opening film of the festival, in the first international screening of the film.
The 45th session of the Cairo International Film Festival will be held between November 13 and 22, when 194 films will be shown, from 72 countries.
