A source in Al-Ahly confirmed that Hussein Al-Shahat, the player of the team who underwent successful surgery, will start qualifying next Tuesday, when the team resumes its training in preparation for facing Wadi Degla next Friday in the league.
Swiss coach Rene Fyler, Al-Ahly coach, decided to give the players a negative rest from training for 48 hours, after beating Al-Masry Al-Borsaidi on Saturday, with two goals without a response.
The source said, in exclusive statements, Laila Koura, Sunday: “Hussein Al-Shahat appears again at the Touch Stadium as soon as the team returns to training next Tuesday after the coaching staff gave the players a rest for two days.”
He added: “The player begins the implementation of the final stage of qualification in preparation for regular team training, provided that he will be prepared for the two matches of Moroccan Wydad in the Champions League semi-finals at the end of next September.”
The source concluded his remarks, saying: “Sayed Abdel Hafeez, the director of football at Al-Ahly, contacted Hussein Al-Shahat, and the player confirmed that he would be in training to begin the implementation of the final stage of treatment with the team’s medical device.”
