Hossam Ashour, the player of the Al-Ittihad Alexandria team, is undergoing a facial surgery today, Tuesday, at a medical center in Cairo, after the severe injury he suffered during a team match against Al-Ahly in the Premier League championship yesterday.
While Amr Al-Ashmal, the special doctor of the Al-Ittihad Alexandria team, made 14 stitches for the player Mohamed Atwa, after a ball shared between him and his colleague Hussam Ashour, as a result of which the player left the match, and was directed to a private hospital near Al-Ahly Al-Salam stadium.
Al-Ahly team scored a broad victory over its counterpart Al-Ittihad of Alexandria by four clean, in the match that brought them together at Al-Ahly and Al-Salam Stadium, which was postponed from the third week of the Egyptian Premier League competition, and Mahmoud Kahraba scored the first goal in the 18th minute after a pass from Taher Muhammad Taher, Hussein Al-Shahat added the goal. The second in the 48th minute, after a wonderful pass from Maaloul, and Mohamed Sharif scored the third goal in the 60th minute, after Hussein al-Shahat’s pass, so Akram Tawfiq finished with Al-Ahly’s goals in the 85th minute after a pass on Maaloul.
With this victory, Al-Ahly Club tops the Premier League table with 9 points from 3 wins, while Al-Ittihad Club remained at the fourth point in the fourteenth place.
