Two of the three published letters were written to the supporters of Mayor Park. Kang said, “I think the truth has not been revealed yet. I know well that my husband Park Won-soon is not that kind of person.” “I believe in Park Won-soon’s life and trust him to the end. I think that my family should believe in Park Won-soon’s morality and restore it.”
It is interpreted that Mr. Kang responded to Park Gi-sa’s statement after the announcement by the Human Rights Commission, saying, “We take the decision of the Human Rights Commission heavily and give comfort to the victims.” In the letter, he wrote, “After seeing Park’s position, our family is in great sadness.” The remaining one of the letters was written in the form of a petition sent to the Human Rights Commission before its decision on the 25th of last month. “My husband, Park Won-soon, is the one who laid the foundation for women’s human rights,” Kang wrote. “I sincerely hope you respect Park Won-soon’s human rights.” The victim, who sued Mayor Park for sexual harassment, said, “Mr. Kang is free to speak privately to his supporters, but how will the actions of the supporters who secondly open the letter online will affect the victims who need to return to their daily lives? Think about it. It is impossible to deny the facts that have been confirmed through prosecution investigations, court rulings, and human rights committee decisions.”
