Relatives have informed that Joe Garcia, the husband of teacher Irma Garcia, passed away today. He is said to have died of a broken heart after losing his wife last Tuesday.

Irma and Joe had been together since high school and married for 24 years. They leave behind four children aged 13, 15, 19 and 23. “My heart is breaking”, reacts a cousin of the couple on social media.

The shooting took place last Tuesday at a primary school in the Texas town of Uvalde. Salvador Ramos, 18, shot and killed 21 people in a classroom.
