A brave husband killed his wife in the rubber plantation of Pondok Indomie Hamlet, Bandar Tinggi Village, Bilah Hulu, Labuhanbatu, North Sumatra (North Sumatra). The murder was allegedly because the victim Halimah Rambe refused have sex with her husband Abdullah Sitompul.
Labuhanbatu Police Chief AKBP Anhar Arlia Rangkuti said the murder occurred on November 16, 2021 at around 07.00. Initially, the victim and the suspect set off on a motorbike to go to a field about 5 km from their house.
“Arriving at the field, the suspect rattled rubber and the victim cleared the grass. Then the suspect asked the victim for a machete. Suddenly the suspect pushed the victim’s chest so that the victim fell on her back,” he said.
The suspect then stabbed the victim three times in the neck. At that time the victim tried to fend off with his right hand so that there was also an open wound on the victim’s right hand.
“The suspect waited until the victim died for approximately 10 minutes. After the victim died, the suspect covered the victim’s body with grass that was around the victim’s body. Then the suspect threw a machete by throwing it towards the bottom of the ravine,” he explained.
The suspect then rode a motorbike home and changed clothes. Then the suspect came out again on his motorbike to hide.
“The suspect was arrested the next day while hiding in a field hut in Talun Hamlet, Bandar Tinggi Village, Bilah Hulu District,” he explained.
The officers then took the suspect to the Labuhanbatu Police Headquarters. From the examination, the suspect admitted that he had the heart to kill his wife because he was annoyed that he was always refused to have sex. Not only that, the suspect was also hurt by the victim’s statement that he was going to leave him.
“During the raid, the suspect thought and remembered what the victim had done for a month, who always refused the perpetrator’s invitation to have sex and often quarreled over household matters. At that time, the suspect intended to kill the victim,” he explained.
