Dillon Passage was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of drunk driving, reports TMZ. His husband Joe Exotic then went on to discuss Passage’s drinking behavior from prison.
According to TMZ Passage was stopped by police officers in Texas on Sunday night (local time). He failed a test to estimate whether he had been drinking too much.
Exotic’s 23-year-old husband was then taken to the police station, where he was put in jail. It is not known when and under what conditions Passage will be released again.
“I did my best to get him to stop drinking,” said Joseph Maldonado-Passage, better known as Joe Exotic, in a response to TMZ about the man he married in 2017. “I love him.” In June, Exotic claimed that Passage had left him.
Like Exotic, Passage comes in Tiger King. The experiences of his husband as owner of a zoo in the United States are central to the Netflix series.
The 57-year-old Exotic is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence for planning a murder of his competitor Carole Baskin and animal cruelty.
