Husband and wife (spouses) in Tebet, South Jakarta, with the initials MY (61) and H (43) were found covered in blood as a result of being stabbed by their own neighbor named Edy Rinaldi (40). The head of the local RT, Ahmad Satiri, said that the perpetrator had threatened residents who tried to defend the victim.
Ahmad said that at the time of the incident, one of the residents with the initials M peeked into the victim’s house. M had asked the victim about the events that occurred.
“So when you say something cryingso the tailor there, M, that foul into it. There’s a curtain open like thatthere is blood,” said Ahmad in Tebet, South Jakarta, Sunday (27/8/2023).
“‘Lu why did Breng (Gambreng the nickname of the victim’s wife) fight I’m crying? Argue What you cry?'” continued Ahmad imitating the words of witness M.
After that, the perpetrator came out of the victim’s house. The perpetrator saw M peeking at the victim’s house. Then the perpetrator threatened M.
“Well, Edy came out, that kill came out This M (threatened), ‘Watch out, you defend me kill lu‘, that’s it the language. So run away,” he continued.
Ahmad said there were other witnesses who saw the perpetrator throw the knife into the gutter. However, said Ahmad, M warned the witness not to get involved in the matter.
“The knife poking thrown into the gutter. Taken, there are follow all night, a knife was taken, there was a trash can placed there. I was reprimanded by M, don’t get involved,” he concluded.
Husband Killed, Wife Injured
Tebet Police Chief Kompol Jamalinus Nababan said the incident occurred on Saturday (26/8) at around 20.00 WIB. The husband died while the wife was injured.
“The injured wife has been evacuated to the hospital for treatment while the husband has MD (passed away),” Tebet Police Chief Kompol Jamalinus Nababan told reporters.
Initially the witness, who was the victim’s neighbor, heard crying from the direction of the victim’s house. When checked, the witness saw someone coming out of the victim’s house carrying a knife.
“Neighbors heard a woman’s voice crying. Then exit towards the sound source. Then saw someone coming out of the victim’s house holding a sharp weapon suspected of being a knife,” he said.
When checking inside the house, the victim H (43) and her husband, MY (61), were found covered in blood.
