If the handsome Mazda MX-5 roadster is of little interest to you, you can turn to the Spanish manufacturer Hurtan. There is really no shortage of extravagance there.
The Spanish company Hurtan has not yet reached the awareness of the common European motorist. There is nothing to be surprised about, he is dedicated only to a marginal segment of imagining existing cars into something new – for some, bizarre, for others, interesting with a retro touch. The most common builds are made from the Japanese Mazda MX-5 roadster, here under the somewhat strange name Grand Albaycin.
Well, now the company informs us about the special edition of this Al-Andalus car, which is inspired by the countries of the Arab world. The car is covered in a light blue shade of body paint, which, according to the creators, was inspired by the color of the sky in the United Arab Emirates. But it could easily be heaven somewhere else, right? To make it clear to everyone at a glance who this edition is intended for, it is named inside in Arabic script.
Everything is underlined by the Arab flag on the center console. Again, this edition is not such a big hit parade, but it can add to the good the very nice light upholstery of the interior. There was no talk of changes under the hood, so we can expect the classic set of MX-5 power units, i.e. four-cylinder with a volume of 1.5 and 2.0 liters, when the more powerful engine will offer up to 184 horsepower.
As standard, the engines are paired with a six-speed manual transmission, which can be changed to an automatic transmission if desired. In any case, the engine drives the rear wheels exclusively. Nor was the price mentioned. But if we were to start from the original price list, the one-five went for 59,000 euros (1,380,000 CZK) and the two-liter for 82,300 euros (1,924,000 CZK).
