Hurricanes lose important leader

The Carolina Hurricanes did not renew the contract for the team’s vice president of hockey operations, Rick Dudley.

Dudley had been with the North Carolina formation for two years.

Previously, he was the assistant to Marc Bergevin with the Canadiens. He was also the general manager of the Ottawa Senators (1998-1999), the Tampa Bay Lightning (1999-2002), the Florida Panthers (2002-2004) and the Atlanta Thrashers (2010-2011) .
