More than a quarter of gas stations across the state were without fuel, with the Tampa and St. Petersburg areas hardest hit, with 75% of their stations empty.

Florida ports were closed ahead of Milton and some were without power Thursday. The Port of Tampa Bay, which handles 43 percent of the fuel used by planes, aircraft, trailers and passenger vehicles in the state, was still experiencing power issues Friday.
