The integrated control center Bayerischer Untermain assumes a total of around 150 missions that had to be dealt with throughout the day. Due to the large number of deployments, the control center had to be increased in terms of staff in the meantime as a precaution. From the afternoon onwards, however, regular operations were resumed. The integrated control center in Würzburg counted a total of 67 missions by the evening. These were mostly fallen trees, fallen branches and roof tiles that were blown away. There were also more than 60 missions at the Main-Rhön Integrated Control Center. The focus here was the Haßberge area with a total of around 30 missions.
No people hurt
According to the current state of knowledge, no persons have been harmed. A scaffold had fallen over in the city of Würzburg, and the tram was temporarily blocked by a fire brigade. A power line had to be repaired in Steinbachtal. The fire brigade has temporarily closed the forest area there.
A gust of wind knocks trucks over on the motorway
In the early morning hours on the A7 near Estenfeld in the district of Würzburg, a truck loaded with Styrofoam was hit by a gust of wind and overturned. It lay across the entire lane of the A 7 and blocked the motorway in the direction of Ulm for about an hour, according to the police. The driver of the truck was taken to a hospital slightly injured. The property damage is estimated at 45,000 euros.
Overturned guild tree on market square
In Poppenlauer (district of Bad Kissingen) and Ebelsbach (district of Haßberge), fire fighters had to remove trampolines that had blown onto the street. People were not harmed. In Bad Brückenau, the storm blew down the guild tree on the market square. According to the police, the mighty trunk was broken in the lower area near the anchorage. The Bad Brückenau fire brigade took care of the recovery of the tree that lay across the market square, they say. Fortunately, the place was deserted at the early hour, so no one was injured.
