The coast of this state in the south-east of the United States has been affected by phenomena of “marine submersion” causing a rapid rise in water levels in certain cities.

Gusts from Idalia swept across Florida on Wednesday August 30, causing massive flooding. The hurricane, which carries winds of up to 130 km/h, made landfall at 7:45 a.m. (local time) near Keaton Beach, Florida as a category 3 hurricane, on a scale of five, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC). It has since been downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane.

The coast of this state in the south-east of the United States has been affected by phenomena of “marine submersion” causing a rapid rise in water levels in certain cities, but for the moment, Florida does not deplore any confirmed deaths, specified the State Governor Ron DeSantis at a press conference.

Nearly 300,000 homes were without electricity Wednesday in Florida and nearly 100,000 in the neighboring state of Georgia, according to the specialized site Poweroutage.us. American meteorologists had warned against rising waters that could go up to a range of 3 to 5 meters in places in Florida.
