The wind knocked down a construction crane
After a week of record heat in Moscow, the city was hit by a powerful storm. The hurricane destroyed many houses and cars, knocked down roofs and flooded streets and subway stations, RIA Novosti reported.
Fallen trees stopped trams in places. The strong wind knocked down even a construction crane in the Ramen region.

Authorities have urged locals to be extremely careful if they go outside.
