Huracán defeated Belgrano 1-0 and regained the top spot in the Professional League

In an exciting match played at the Tomás Adolfo Ducó Stadium, Huracán defeated Belgrano 1-0 and once again placed themselves at the top of the 2024 Professional League. The goal that defined the match was scored by Williams Alarcón at 36 minutes of the first half.

The match was intense from the start, with Huracán dominating much of the first half. Alarcón’s goal came after a remarkable play: a backheel by Wanchope Ábila left the ball open for the Chilean to finish with his left foot, beating the rival goalkeeper and unleashing joy in the stands.

Athletic Tucuman 2-0 Students of La Plata

Atlético Tucumán temporarily climbed to the top of the Professional League thanks to the victory against Estudiantes de La Plata. The Decano won with authority in a duel in which it confirmed its magnificent present. After a first half without emotions, Facundo Sava’s team managed to open the scoring thanks to a penalty that Andrés Merlos sanctioned after reviewing the action on the monitor. The call from the VAR resulted in the maximum penalty with which Mateo Coronel touched the post to celebrate the 1-0.

Not content with the minimal advantage, the Colorado team continued to hurt the Pincha until Luciano Estigarribia rose in the Platense area and with a magnificent header sealed the 2-0.
