Hungry comedians are out for blood in Roast Battle II

The premise of Comedy Central Jeff Ross presents Roast Battle II: War of Words is simple: spit fire. spit hot Fire and burn down the competition.

This four-night event, directed by Jeff Ross, begins January 26 at 9/10. p.m. and includes a panel of guest judges including Snoop Dogg, Sarah Silverman and Jason Sudeikis. in the Roast Battle II , comedians take turns burning themselves in one-on-one battles, moving through the bracket until one comedian is crowned the king — or queen — of cruelty. Think of it as 8 miles but with less Mobb Deep instrumentals and more insults that are somehow balanced closer to the bone.

The jokes can be very harsh (see figures A, B and C above). But — as any fan of a good rap battle can tell you — some of the purest forms of creativity emerge in trial-by-fire settings.
