Neos have fallen over in all essential areas – no solutions and innovations in the government program
Vienna (OTS) – “Integration is still not an obligation in Vienna, just an offer. Political Islam, which is an urgent problem and danger, is also not mentioned in the government program. That is an indictment, ”stressed councilor Caroline Hungerländer in today’s budget debate. The problem with integration is clear: nobody in Vienna can be reached who does not want to integrate. “The Start Vienna program must be tied to an obligation, parenting education must be a must. Neos City Council Wiederkehr should finally leave the path of illusion and rely on a necessary level of rights and duties. ”
“We agree with the City Councilor for Education, Wiederkehr, that a lot has to be changed in the field of education. It’s just a shame that so little of it is in the government program, ”said Harald Zierfuß, councilor. “4 out of 5 Viennese secondary school students do not or only partially achieve the educational standards in reading and arithmetic. Vienna has to do more than just ask for money from the federal government. We want a clear commitment to German support classes. We also stick to our call for more social workers in our schools. Teachers can often no longer concentrate on their actual core task, imparting knowledge, ”says Zierfuß.
Another long-standing major construction site is transparency in Vienna, emphasizes councilor Julia Klika: “As soon as they are in power, the Neos join the SPÖ games and let the mandataries’ files degenerate into a joke. If you search the government program for the promises made by Vice Mayor Wiederkehr before the election, you will unfortunately not find anything except for a few small things. ”In addition, it is a scandal that the return of the public and the opposition withholds necessary information – the committees are like that disabled in their work. “Even the announced subsidy law, with which a legal basis for subsidies should be created, has returned completely, because otherwise the SPÖ would not have let him into the nest,” said Klika.
